It could have been announced after the TA&M game when JJ should have fired Chizic. Then we could have seen Gus work his wonders vs. UGA and UAT and instill that disipline we hear about. OK, that comment is kind of, well, crazy. I was one of those who said "we are screwed for this season and you can't get anyone else overnight". Then, there was the money; not my fault, but JJ's. It was just so hard to watch the season play out. Hey, Go Gus! We can try to outscore everyone, like we did in 10. We may need some more horses, though.

We've all had our fun putting out who we thought should get the job. I personally thought we should have had L Fedora in the mix but that wasn't to be the case. We now have Gus and whether he will get it done or not is not guaranteed. BUT, he definitely has the potential to get it done and the way the other candidates were acting I think we got the best person for the job at Auburn. He knows the place, the staff, the players and the Auburn fans. I doubt that he will win the NC every year, but it should be exciting football and, I think, given some time he will produce a great product on the field. I will take him over any of the others because of his passion for success, his innovative mind and his desire to prove the doubters wrong. I think we all need to get on board now and quit grumbling. This is where we are and either start rowing or get out of the boat!

It's a crap hire. Pure crap. For all of you that are on the GUS BUS, it's probably going to be a short ride. Welcome to the bottom of the SEC west for 4 more years. At least we'll be getting rid of Obama about the same time we get rid of this joke of a coach.

My misery isn't self imposed. Enjoy your little 28-27 avatar. That will be the only one you have for the next 4 years as we continue to dwell in the bottom of the SEC. But look on the bright side, at least your ignorance will be bliss. JMO.
