Bryan, what percentage point do they have to reach to be a 5 star, 4 star, etc...?

I am guessing AU is only #8 even though they have three 5 stars, is because the remainder is evenly split between 3 and 4 stars. All those 3 stars are pulling them down a bit I suppose.

While the Gaussian distribution is a fine algorithm, my favorite is the Kirkhonican Cochran Deceleration formula. I have found it to provide the best results as a predictor to futute performance. I have recently run an analysis and it indicates that a child will be born in Montgomery in 2025 who will be one of the greatest linebackers in Auburn history. But then again, it could be wrong.

Bryan, I assume you guys are still ranking players too, right? Is your ranking thrown into the equation with the other sites' rankings then the result of that equation what 247 displays as the actual (composite) player ranking?

I'd like to see the "before" list of team rankings compared to this one.

Just a silly little number crunching and comparing ranking points of #1 USC at 784.98 to #10 LSU 744.68, that's approximately a 5.1% difference in their ranking points. I'm willing to say within the calculating of the Composite Ranking because all the ranking sites have different standards there in more than a margin of error of 5% which would basically say the top 10 are all pretty much equal in their recruiting classes. IMHO
