Unfortunately, many, many football coaches, including current ones and including ones who piously go to church every Sunday, are pillars of their community and say all the right things have had and are now having extramarital affairs. Bobby Petrino is no different.

I was biting my tongue & I'm still not naming names but you don't have to travel very far in this state to find some of those "pillars of their community" name's on buildings & stadiums ... hell, we've even built bronze statues.

As far as the OP, I too am a business owner with 100+ employees and have experienced harassment charges (within the company, not against me personally) & terminations suits over the years. IMO, Arkansas may have had the liabilities you describe had they not fired BP but I see little exposure for Auburn if they hire him.

For those of you saying that 'he didn't break any laws he was just caught in an extramarital affair' you're ignoring the fact that he hired his mistress at a state institution and approved a $20k signing bonus. That, and lying about it was the reason for his termination not the extramarital affair.

I learned an interesting tidbit about 10 days ago that lead me to believe that BP would likely be our next coach. My initial reaction was extremely negative but the more I've looked at it the more I've come to the conclusion that he's the best man for the job.

Again, he hired his mistress, which might be deemed unethical is not an actionable lawsuit. He had the right to hire an assistant. Yes he was terminated for lying about it. But again, no one can bring a lawsuit against the University for that either. My claim is that whole, he brings liability to the University for an actionable lawsuit because he is a predator creating a hostile environment for everyone and the University knowingly employed him with this previously documented behavior. And I am a business owner with over 300 employee's and have had all kinds of frivolous lawsuits and allegations levied over the years for you name it. My point is that no one has said what the actual lawsuit would be? Who would bring it?
