If ULM's coaches had our talent...

    Again, that doesn't explain why our defense folded up tent. The fumble and int wasn't ran back by ULM for a TD. They drove down our throats. We should never be 2 turnovers and a penalty away from OT with the like of Louisiana-Monroe.

    Yeah and they should never beat the #8 team in the country......BUT THEY DID.

    Just let it all play out. We can twist and turn all things as much as we want, but you can't honestly say AU should be looking as bad as they are so far this year. 6-6 is fine this year if you look like you are getting better instead of lost out there. So far, this team has looked bad.

    And that wasn't the real #8 as we have learned...just like USC wasn't the real #2 last night. Speaking of great coaching, check out Stanford. That's a fantastically coached football team. They are winning with engineers, lawyers, and future CEOs.

    VT just got whooped by a poor Pit Team

    Its not as cut and dry as you make it out to be. Where you got lost is when we won it all in 2010. You thought the process was complete.But actually it was just starting. That coach that you say "had to be convinced to get Cam" did it and pluged in the players where they needed to be. And now just a skant two years removed from that he is the worst coach in teh planet and Really Gus was the Head coach of the 2010 team. thats what is making this all so amazing to me.

    We will see and I hope you are wrong and i am right. But where you think it right o call for jbs and make brash comments about how awful our current staff is. I find it it to be flat disrespectful and obnoxious.

    In 53 years we had many great coaches NOT do what Chiz did. And they had some transcendent players as well. Pat didnt win it all with the BEST RB OF ALL TIME...But he still coached at AU for 7 more years. Shug didnt get it done with Pat and Terry......But they are both legends. Tubbs didnt get it done with Ronnie Caddy and Jc. they won them all and STILL DIDNT get the MNC....

    Phil Fulmer Didnt win it all with Peyton Manning? UF didnt win it all with Emmit Damn Smith. Oregon didnt win it all With LAmichael James. Texas didnt win it all with Colt McCoy but did with Vince shoudl teh UT fans take away all the wins that Mac got with Vince because he was the reason they won it all? UW didnt win it all with Ron Dane. Mich hasnt won it in how long??? But Loyd Carr is a legend...NC state didnt win it with Phillip Rivers? OU didnt win it with sam Bradford.....

    But now the one that did. Is just the worst coach ever and is in WAY over his head and will never get us back. Do you see how poor that argument is when looked at from that perspective?

    Again it has nothing to do with NCs...Larry Coker has a national championship. Is he a good coach?

    The team has looked lost much of last year and certainly this year. We've had close calls with Utah State and ULM. We've been blown out and not competitive with our SEC West foes including now Miss State. The off the field issues have not looked good and will look even worse after losing games.

    Just get better...we will know for sure in the next two years.

And we also get to hear from folks like you how awful Chiz is and How awful CSL and CBVG are at developing talent. I just dont get how you can make those assesments after 1. not being able to watch practice and 2. only seeing a 3 game snapshot of where we are.

    And againwe have lost to 2 unbeaten teasm that are ranked and won a game over an upstart team that just beat #8 no matter where they are now they were the 38 team in the country.

    Clem is top 10
    Mrs St is now top 25

    so the combined record for the teams we have played is 8-1.....No matter what you think we have still not lost to a team with a worse record than us and we still have so much room to grow. But agin it doesnt happen overnight and you can look at things any way you want. But dont contnue to post irrelevant topics and threads that arent going to make a hill of beans to what the situation is this year.

    Like I said in my first response to you.....If my aunt had balls she would be my uncle. So at least TRY to be constructive. Recruits recruits parents and friedns all read these tyoe boards and the constant negative enrgy is goign to kill any progress we are making in recruiting.

    New coaches in place this season over the ast so you are placing all of our improvement on one coach....CGC.

    And what if mrs state and Clem dont show the self that you predict. I think you have made it up in your head that Mrs st and Clem are beneath us and we should have won both those games by 20. Reality is not whre you live then if that is the case..

    I would hate to be a business that you were the leader of. you would blame all the issues of the former person in my position on me! And that my friend is very short sighted.

    For example, let's say we hired ULM's coach 4 years ago (to use your example). Would we be better off? Would he have one Auburn a NC? Here's a better question - can you even name their head coach? Maybe he's at ULM because he is a great X's and O's coach but can't recruit.

    Not degrading you cpa, just offering some fodder.
