Why do people on this board think BP was the only grown up invovoled in his extra martial affair. PEOPLE HIS MISSTRESS WAS A ADULT ALSO! I wish people would get off their high horse.

^^This. It takes two to tango.

I hate adultery. I've seen what it does to marriages. But at the end of the day, that's an issue between the married couple, and not us. Some of the other issues -- specifically the lying -- do cause me some concern. But the fact that he cheated on his wife doesn't really come into the decision about him, as far as I am concerned. Again, we're not hiring a preacher. And LOTS of people have affairs -- his just got publicized. You think previous Auburn coaches haven't cheated on their wives? I know for a fact that is not true.

I'm just saying that adultery is not an issue on the table for me when it comes to hiring a coach. Just my twocents

While adultery is a touchy subject for me - the reason I won't support him is his history of lying to employers and peers in the workplace - not the home place. If he had done it only once - I'd say it was just a poor choice - but doing it multiple times, to me, means it's a bad habit and character flaw. You don't have to be a "holier than thou" person to think this way. I assure you that the majority of CEOs/Presidents of companies feel exactly the same way. He wouldn't even be on their radar - no matter how good he was at his job. But as I said earlier, if he's hired, I will in no way support him - but that won't really matter in the larger scheme of things. Whether or not I sit on my hands or refuse to stand when he's introduced won't matter to anyone but me - it'll make ME feel better. But I WILL always support my team. You CAN do both.
