No doubt we're going to lose some of these kids, but once the new coach is named I suspect we may be able to get a handful back. To me this sounds like one of them. If i was a kid and there was really no coach in place, I'd do the same. Who's going to be there and will they even want me? What kind of offense/defense are they going to run, and is it going to be a fit? You get a good recruiter back in there and the ones that haven't already committed elsewhere should at least give the new staff a look. You never know what was promised (position, playing time) by the old staff, so that could always play into the decision.

It is a waste of time to worry about those that leave. Fill out the numbers and coach em up. I will put my energy into caring about those that come to Auburn. A lot of our members seem to lose a lot of sleep over the whims of 17 and 18 year old children, and what everybody else does and thinks.

A coach, and a staff will be able to pull the class back together provided they are the players they want.. So don't be mad at the kids who are getting pulled in every direction from their high school coaches, family advisors and other college coaches. Just want for Auburn to be able to have a 5 year recruiting run with no coaching problems, No Saks problems, No Violations... Just be able to recruit like other schools without all the chaos.

This is not Gene Chizik University, its Auburn University, if kids don't understand what an honor it is to put on that Blue and Orange jersey, then we should re-evaluate what the coaches are saying on our recruiting trips. The coaches are not paying those scholarships, the university is, a real shame and a lost opportunity for the kid not to be able to experience the Spirit of Auburn! WDE!
