Thoughts? I think KF has a long row to hoe and must learn to react a rush. JJ may need a full season of mentoring. But, not matter, the QB competition will be great. AND, Gus and Rhett will develop the QB

What kind of offense did JW run in HS? I though it was a traditional pro set.
Either way I think the competition between JF and KF will be intense. JJ will redshirt IMO.

It's way too early for me to guess on the QB situation.
But I'm proud of you using the correct phrase "long row to hoe".
Often I see or hear this expression as "long road to hoe" or some other dumb thing.
Us country boys know what this means. Old school. I've chopped cotton in the boiling sun.

I'm still not sold that KF is gonna be the answer..I think we need an accurate, experienced JC guy until JJ is ready. I don't believe we have the real deal QB we need on campus yet.

I'd agree JW has definitely earned it per last year's offense. I am curious to see if KF becomes his old self in Gus' system because he knew that system and CGM recruited KF from Arky....
I do agree it should be an amazing competition between them which will make them both better =)

Overlooked your post before I posted and they are quite similar.... LOL good job ha ha
And yes it would def be smart if they redshirt JJ so he can learn and grow for a year while we have the other guys go crazy good in CGM's offense! I feel pretty certain one of those two will kick it into gear. Remembering what Chris Todd (who???) was able to do under Malzahn is simply amazing to think about. No disrespect to Todd at all but was unexpected for him to go and beat AU QB records...

JW has earned the right to start. KF has so much talent but his confidence never rebounded after the 2011 Arkansas game. I haven't seen JJ play except for some highlight film, but it sounds like he has the intangibles to be a great quarterback. I can't wait to what CGM & CRL do with our QBs next year. What I wouldn't give to have a QB who steps up and leads this team for more than 1 season. I believe Campbell was the last multi-season starter we've had, but it wasn't until his Sr. season that he actually did much if I recall correctly.
