Well, I don't know if this is a secret exactly but we are literally teetering on the edge of a cliff. THAT close to irrelevance. Jeff Fisher and Les Snead were/maybe are an option. Likely? I'd say no simply because catching a BIG fish is never likely. A possibility? Yes. However, they demanded to see real change before that discussion continued and Auburn balked. Fisher and Snead aren't idiots. They're not going to be bamboozled by Gogue, JJ, TJ and some of our idiot boosters like Yella and McWhorter. They said SHOW ME you are serious and then we'll talk. But until then, you can continue your good ole boy ways and the mediocrity that accompanies it.

Will some folks like Sam Ginn and others be able to fight the forces of evil within our own University? I'm skeptical but not because they aren't trying. But when it's folks like Ginn who don't reside in AL and are outside the GOBN that have the most sense on the Board, we are climbing a steep hill to achieve excellence. But he's not IN Auburn, in Gogue and JJ's ear every day pulling strings, calling in favors, etc.

Scary times. Is it over? No, and it could still take a turn (just like it did 2 Fridays ago when JG was slated to can JJ and then all of a sudden, McWhorter steps in and saves JJ).

The problem with withholding information about how poor of a job some (most) of our leaders are doing is that we won't know about it until it's all over and we have Gene Chizik 2.0 and at that point we can't do anything about it. We'll feel compelled to support whoever is the new coach, the poor schmuck that will have to report to the 3-ring circus (JG, JJ, TJ).
