I didn't write this, but AU fans need to hear it again....

If Auburn never wins another football game I will love Auburn no less. Because in the end, being an Auburn fan isn’t really about winning or losing. It’s not about a football team or a logo. It’s more than bricks and mortar. Being an Auburn fan isn’t what you
are, it’s who you are. It’s about working hard and believing that if you do, good things will eventually happen. Being an Auburn fan is about holding your head high no matter what life hands you. It's about persevering in the face of adversity. It’s about understanding that pride and class aren’t determined by the score of a game or the record of a team. Being an Auburn fan means keeping the faith – the faith to believe that no matter what the odds, anything is possible. The pain of a loss will fade. Pride in being an Auburn Tiger will not. Hope returns anew.

While I agree I will always be an AU fan no matter how bad we are, who the coach is etc, I don't agree overall. We play the game to win.

I work hard everyday and have what I have because I earned it. I learned the value of hard work from my family growing up and from my time spent at Auburn. However, as an Auburn Football fan, I expect to win. If the university is going to continue to make the major financial commitment to our football program than it needs to win football games, otherwise spend the money on something else. I will always love Auburn and everyday I cherish the time I spent there and the values that I gained from being an Auburn Alumni, but in the end, as an AU football fan, I expect to win. And so should you.

I respect what you said, very much so. I'll love AU till the day I die... I'm a 4th generation AU graduate in my family, so I bleed deep orange and blue. However... We should expect to win every game. I'm sick of the sunshine pumping AU fans saying it's all good and let's support everyone and everything is just fine... Garbage. I'm not sayin what you said is garbage, I'm saying we should expect more. ESPECIALLY since we have the highest paid coaching staff in the nation. I see no player development. No leadership. No head coaching getting players fired up. I see Gene Chizik's children on the practice fields. I see defensive linemen practicing returning punts. You think Saban allows that???? Absolutely not. Because they are serious and are built to win national titles year in and year out.
I don't like being 0-2... 8-7 in the past 15 games... 1-4 vs the last 5 SEC teams. I will continue to yell as loud as I can every weekend and lose my voice. BUT something has to happen soon. This is ridiculous.
LA Monroe's QB leads the nation in total offense, and there is no reason I should be afraid of that... yet I am.. and AU nation should be too.... and that also, is ridiculous.
