How much to sell your tickets?

  • 2 upper deck seats just went for $9300. Wow

  • WOW.............that is all I can say..........WOW

  • Same tix will sell for $350 just b4 kick-off... With driving distance being what it is from a passionate football fan base they may be less than that.

  • I just do not think that there will be any tickets available out there. People said the same thin at the SEC championship, but there were no tickets and if any did sell, they went for a lot more than face. Remember, there are about 10 k fans going out there without tickets, hoping to buy some, so scalpers, if any have tickets, will not be selling them for face. No way.

  • 10k and I'll have to think about selling my club level seats. No way there will be any tickets out there near face value.

    jcamp1992

  • Same here. I have 2 club level tix I bought the day after the SEC Championship game. $10k would pry those out of my hands right fast!

  • I know a man who just bought two standing room only tickets from Auburn University for $300.00 each. He intends to use them for family but he instantly had $2000.00 offered for both.

  • Ticket prices will be ridiculous out there at the stadium. I will be surprised to see folks selling out there.

  • I can confirm what someone said above. Everyone "in the know" said there would be tons of tickets available for the SECCG on game day. Actually there were, at the least, hundreds and maybe thousands of fans from both teams looking for tickets and very few sellers. I would guess most of them did not get into the game. The few tickets that were available were going for at least $350 - $400. Face value was $80 - $125. The ticket situation for this game is a phenomenon. I know I've never seen a game where there were absolutely no tickets listed on Stub Hub 4 days prior to the game.

  • I am completely stunned by the ticket prices. I made a huge error in thinking there would be the natural shift from seller to buyer's market close to the game.

I'll be in Glendale on Monday but am increasingly pessimistic that I will be in the stadium to watch the game unless I luck into a ticket from a generous Auburn fan who is willing to take $1,200 for a ticket.

  • I have a family member in the ticket brokerage business. He told me he is in a "big jam" and is offering $2,500 for "any ticket in the building". He needs many tickets and they are many others just like him. There will not be any tickets for sale on site at any price, IMHO.

  • My wife and I, along with a buddy of mine and his wife have 4 tickets together in the Auburn lowers. We actually paid $650 per ticket, so I've got $1,300 tied up in my two. I was talking to my buddy yesterday about what we could potentially get for 4 tickets together in the lower sections. I don't even really want to think about it because I can't imagine not going to the game...but at the same time, at some point there has to be a price that's too good to pass up. Based on everything I've heard and read, I actually believe we could sell the four together for somewhere between $25,000 to $30,000...and maybe even more than that. If I could get $15,000 for 2 tickets that I paid $1,300 for, would I be a fool to pass that up? Again, I almost don't even want to think about it.

I know I would sell mine for 15000. It would be hard to turn down a profit of that much money.

  • Sell them brother and hope to get 4 right after kickoff.

    auletterman

  • My brother has two on Ebay. I talked to him last night and the bid was up to 9000
Somebody else would be holding them if it were me.

  • Boy, do I feel stupid. I ordered tickets, but since I was hit with several huge expenses right at Christmas, I realized I just couldn't afford the trip, so I sold the tickets to some Auburn friends at my costs. If I had been selfish and sold them at the high prices that they are going for now, I could have paid for my son's 2011 Summer tuition at Auburn. Instead, I felt it was not fair that I could get tickets and not use them, but then turn around and screw another Auburn fan buy outrageously overcharging him for tickets just because he could not get tickets even tho he was a season ticket holder. Guess my sense of priority is not the same as these other scalpers.

  • A buddy of mine in Birmingham got 4 tickets from Auburn for $300 each. The charter flight out to Glendale he's reserved was $799 a person. Total investment - $4,396 for the one day round trip.

He got an unsolicited call on his cell while driving to work yesterday morning and the caller said he'd give him a certified check for $15,000....offer good thru Friday at noon. (Net: $10,604)
