AUBURN - Greetings from Auburn Arena. With students gone home for Christmas break, the crowd is sparse. It shouldn't be much of a game. Grambling is 0-6, and its closest game has been a 27-point loss.

In case you missed it, junior forward Shareif Adamu has been dismissed by head coach Tony Barbee for violating team rules. That certainly will hurt the Tigers' depth on the inside.

On with the game. ...

FIRST HALF

* Chris Denson is back in the starting lineup at point guard after being academically ineligible for the first seven games. He hits 1-of-2 free throws to break the scoring ice.

* Even against this team, the Tigers are struggling to score. It's 3-1, Grambling, with 15:05 left in the first half.

* Frankie Sullivan takes it to the basket to tie it at 3-3 at the first media timeout.

* Sullivan misses the free throw and Denson slams it home on the rebound. Auburn leads 5-3.

* Sullivan taking over. No surprise there. He has seven and Auburn leads 11-6 with 11:30 left.

* Wallace drives to the basket and Auburn leads 13-6 at the second meia timeout with 10:55 left.

* Auburn has gone cold. It's 18-8 with 7:15 left. Not he most entertaining game you'll ever see. It's fairy obvious why Grambling is 0-6.

* Auburn missed layups on two of three trips. It's 21-11 with 4:13 left.

* Auburn leads 25-13 with 2:07 left. Denson and Sullivan have seven points apiece.

* Barbee calls timeout with 1:13 left and a 25-15 lead. Auburn leads by 10, but believe me, it's been a dreadful first half.

* Points come hard for this Auburn team, and it doesn't seem to matter how bad the opponent is.

* Rob Chubb goes to the line with 1.8 seconds left. He makes two and it's 27-15 at halftime.

SECOND HALF

* Auburn goes on a 12-1 run out of the break, punctuated by a slam by Denson ona pass from Allen Payne. It's 39-16 with 17:45 left. Much better looking Auburn team than the one that slopped through the first half.

* Shaq Johnson hits a 3-pointer and Noel Johnson his two of them and and Chubb hits a dunk. It's 50-22 with 15:26 left. Auburn is now treating the overmatched visitors like it should.

* Shaq Johnson slams down a dunk on another lob and Grambling calls timeout. It;s 52-22 with 15:01 left.

* Auburn has outscored Grambling 25-7 in he first five minutes of the second half.

* Noel Johnson hits a 3, Denson slams home a breakaway dunk and Auburn leads 61-28 with 11:22 left.

* Auburn has rained 3-pointers and dunks on Grambling in the second half and leads 73-38 with 7:04 left. The Tigers have scored 46 points in 12:56 after scoring just 27 the entire first half.

* Auburn leads 85-42 with 3:50 left in the game. No starters are on the floor. Jordan Price has four 3-pointersin the second half.

* Auburn leads 87-42 with 3:08 left. The walk-ons are in the game now.

* Auburn wins 92-42 . First half was bad. Second half couldn't have been much better.Grambling is really, really bad.
