In my mind it has to be Bo. After the long drought, he immediately made Auburn fans know that the promise of the 1981 season was about to be realized. His impact went far beyond what he actually did on the field. First of all, we beat Bama recruiting him and then he turned out to be the real deal as a freshman. And he did not start out as a featured tailback, but as a wishbone back sharing the load with Lionel James and Tommy Agee, and still gained 893 yards rushing and averaged 6.8 yards a carry.
