Stars are almost meaningless, I bet most if not all those people deciding the rankings have never even played football.

Also, If you notice the recruiting rankings are so biased toward southeastern high schools it isn't funny. You never hear about schools like Oregon, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, etc.ever getting the top star guys yet they are always competing. Look at the pro rosters and you don't remember many of them being high star guys.

Does CEJ coach the spur position? With King in CEJs hands one on one he could become something very special at AU. Not to mention Melvin and Cheese!
Way may not actuality be amazing next year. But I think the picture next season will paint for us is going to be amazing!

Just watched the tape. There is absolutely NO way this guy is a 2 star! They missed it. But that was good for Auburn as it likely kept him in the shadows and lessened the competition for his signature. I see a potential NFL stud here . Congrats to our coaches for spotting his talent and recruiting him well.

That's it; we should call the rover type player that our defense uses a "cruise missle" or "tomahawk". We need this style of player; our defense last year seemed too passive to me.

The question nobody has bothered to ask is where does this kid stand academically? Let's hope he takes care of his business in juco and makes it to school this summer.

Our coaches at South Alabama were extremely disappointed to lose him but we understand that a player isn't going to stick to a USA commitment when Auburn or Alabama come across with an offer.
I've been keeping up with him since he committed in November and I totally agree with his coach's assessment. This guy is a fantastic athlete and a punishing tackler. If he has no trouble grasping the scheme, I think he'll start game #1 in 2013.

He finished his career as the Auburn’s all-time leading tackler with 528 tackles. That rounds out to around 13 tackles per game to reach that total.
What Smith was able to accomplish in his career at Auburn is nothing short of amazing. He is one of the best, least talked about players in Auburn history.
Freddy Smith from Athens, Alabama one of the Best LB in Auburn History. He did not need any assignment but tackle the opossing player with the ball!
