First, Gene Chizik earned one bad year by taking us to the MNC for the first time in 53 years, If we fired CGC now, the media would absolutely attack us. Having said that, a few people must get fired if we go 3-9. I am hopeful that Jay Jacobs will be replaced first. I would love to see Auburn hire Dan Radakovich from Ga Tech at AD.
My HC wishes:
1. Gus Malzahn - regardless of unproven as an HC - Keep BVG as DC and pay him more
2. Dana Holgerson - We can pay him more than WVU can
3. Brent Pease - The guy is getting it done at UF - He's the big difference in UF's turnaround. He has developed Jeff Driskell.
4. A Proven NFL OC

We should hire an offensive genus. We would not have won the MNC without Gus. I would only hire a proven, defensive minded NFL coach if you go defense side of the ball at HC.

My biggest wish: Jeff Fischer - if the Rams were to fire hire at the end of next year, he would be awesome at AU!
* Crazy, out there pic: Bobby P. - he would win with our current player immediately, he would struggle to recruit players with his demeanor and SOB background, AU would get picked on by all fan bases, it will never happen, but Bobby P would win and win big as HC at AU. I think UK is going to hire Bobby P and they are going to be the third best football program in the East in two years. Bobby P is that good. He's an SOB, but he can X and O better than anyone in the NCAA.

I hope we hire a new AD who can take us into a consistent era of Football, Basketball, and Baseball success. We are down in all three sports right now.(More than I can ever remember) One other BIG PROBLEM: a 3-9 performance = recruiting uncertainty, we are going to have to survive the month of December without a bowl game to look forward to...that's an issue. An MNC HC doesn't get to a bowl, that's not good. It also hurts our revenues.

What will likely happen: Jay Jacobs gets fired, CGC gets one more year to right the ship - he earned it two years ago, Scott Loeffler gets fired, Trooper Taylor leaves, new OC hired by CGC with three year contract - CGC struggles to get a top notch OC due to uncertainty re: his status, New OC brings his WR coach, Luper heads all recruiting and we sign a top 30 class due to CGC's poor standing, AU goes 7-5 or worse in 2013, CGC gets fired, new AD brings his guy in, optimism restored. We will have to endure two rough seasons for this to get done. That's the price we have to pay for the 2010 MNC.
