Dang I am so happy we got this guy! He is very articulate and all the rumors about his possible academics are just BS. I regret I entertained them. There is no way this guy can't make it in college. He is more of a toastmaster than many of our other players and very competitive. Just seems like a a great guy from a good family. A good guy from a good family coming to another good family, the Auburn Tigers!

Carver running back Isaiah Crowell, ranked among the nation's top high school running backs, has canceled his official visit to Auburn originally scheduled for Friday, Carver coach Dell McGee confirmed Wednesday.
Crowell has already taken official visits to Georgia and Alabama and will choose between those two schools on Feb. 2, national signing day, McGee said.
"Isaiah was thankful that Auburn recruited him, and they did a wonderful job," McGee said. "But he didn't want to waste Auburn's time and pin their hopes on him coming there. He's down to Alabama and Georgia now, and he's going to take the weekend off to further evaluate both situations and get some peace about his decision."
Crowell is one of the most highly sought-after high school prospects in the country and is ranked the No. 1 senior running back in the country by ESPN and the No. 4 senior running back and as a 5-star recruit by recruiting website rivals.com.
Crowell and Carver defensive lineman Gabe Wright, who is expected to choose between Auburn, Tennessee and Clemson, will announce their decisions live on ESPN at about 1:30 p.m. Feb. 2 during their team's national signing day ceremony at Occasions Event Center on Victory Drive.

OK Micheal Dyer....You got a runnin back to watch your back...and run over them when he needs to!!!!....Seems like a Dyer / McCaleb mix of power and speed....Perfect fit for Coach Malzahn's offense...I especially like what his HS coach said.."of his +/- 1600 yds..most were between the tackles"......

BTW...I'm disappointed Isiah Crowell cancelled his visit for Friday...BUT...I do RESPECT him for not playing games....Like ...can you say Ray Drew...I really don't know if we want a kid and I do mean KID that is sooo self centered!!!

He's on track to be a qualifier as long as he doesn't slip up over the next five months.

“The biggest factor was waking up every morning and feeling like I wanted to be at Auburn,” he said.

This kid gets it, he's already an Auburn man! Love his attitude. If this class has the same great attitude as the last class, it will be fun to watch for the next few years!

What a well-spoken kid. You've got to be proud we are recruiting kids like him. He will b a good Auburn man.
