We've all heard the pregame spin. We've all heard the postgame coach speak.
I've never had the honor of being in the locker room at halftime for a college game, either as a player or spectator. I am very curious to know what the coaches are doing during halftime. At the GA game, the team came out and just looked depressed IMO, w/o the look of a team that had gotten fired up to "damn the torpedoes".
Does anybody know (is anyone there able to report) what is actually being said during these horrific games?
One other reason I ask, is I have been perturbed all year at the "atta-boy", "shake-it-off" type of coaching I have seen all year when our players make stupid mistakes. In the last two games alone, I have watched the lack of butt-chewing when stupid mistakes are made, i.e. Bray calling fair catch two weeks ago with noone 20yds around, and Bray against GA calling fair catch on a punt then jumping out of the way at the last second, pinning us on the three rather than the 12. (Not trying to pick on Bray.) I just don't understand where all this apparent coddling-coaching is coming from. It'd be nice to see a good chewing on the sidelines for a change.
