The Bodda Getta

As I step back and do a general re-assessment of past and current performances of out football program I find one thing that seems very consistent. When we had 10+ win years we had great QBs. Looking at the top teams in the NCAA today they all seem to have some pretty darn good QBs. Now I know it takes a team to win but having that key play maker at the helm seems to more important than ever before in college ball. Not only do they need the talent but the determination, heart, be mentally tuff, be able to inspire team mates and have a never give up attitude. (I'm sure there could be more characteristics) I don't see that elite player with our current cadre of QBs today. Doesn't mean one won't step up but it hasn't happened yet. Is it part coaching? Probably. Is it part recruiting? Probably. I don't profess to have an answer how to fix the issue but I'm also not sure if our coaching staff does either. My point is this, until we get this position nailed down with a great QB we will struggle even with new coaches. JMHO
