Gotta admit--I'm pulling for Kiehl Frazier to be the starter...

  • Long term, I feel that this gets us back to the SEC Championship sooner. Right now, Trotter and Moseley may be better--but only because of their experience practicing CM's offense against SEC caliber players.

    If Malzahn names Frazier the starter and gives him the reps with the 1s until Utah State, the gap will already be closed by game time. Kiehl's athleticism and talent will increasingly show as the year goes on.

    Just my 2 cents.

    I second that motion let's keep it real we know that they are hoping Frazier will catch on in a hurry they didn't go after Russell Wilson for nothing we know they have to be politically correct and say the right thing but we know the real deal you don't go after a one year wonder if you're so confident in what u have already I think Trotter might start us out the gate with Kyle being the backup but Kyle will finish for us IMO.......

  • I don't know. I've always heard you can ruin a QB's confidence by throwing them into the fire too early. I kinda like the idea of going with experience over talent at this point. Personally I think it will be CM, BT, and a redshirt for KF. JMHO.

  • From the little tape we have seen of practice and scrimmages BT and CM are way more polished than Kiel. With the speed and skill players they have at there disposal it looks to be another productive season from the offense.I like Kiel .He reminds me of Damien Craig but I just don't see anything that shows he is ready for the SEC yet.

  • No. No. No. You need to relax. Auburn is not going to lose games because of Trotter or Mosley. I can promise you Auburn will lose a game because of Frazier if he started. KF will be great, but he's not ready to start.
    Your not going to be one of those fans who loses it if Auburn drops a couple are you? The Tigers will be fine 9-10 wins easy. Talented but young.

All the talent in the world but still doesnt carry out his fakes properly and has trouble when we go fast. He must be able to do both consistently before he is ready to start. He may be the most athletic guy we have but until he can run the offense he will not play. TIFWIW.

    So have I. Yet, I have also been told that he has the strongest arm of the 3 and that he makes good throws. He can work on the fakes with practice. Again, if he has the opportunity to run the 1s for a couple of weeks and polish those things, he'll do fine.

    May not be the most realistic of scenarios. But, I think in the long run it will get us back to Atlanta the fastest.

    I will not loose any sleep if he does't get named starter by the way. I will be glad of whoever is named starter. War Eagle!
