Got Orders to Osan, Korea!!

Yes I was there in 2009. Only in osan for one weelend. I was in waegon or daegu. It is very diffrent but it was the most fun TDY trip i had ever taken. Waegon was more like the slums and osan was nice. Camp casey right?

My brother was the Asst G-4 for the 8th Army in Seoul just a few years ago. He worked long hours but liked it. Naturally it was an unaccompanied tour of duty.

yup, and you can get a lot of knock off gear for helluh cheap over there. and the mid tour vacation is nice

i mean some of it is legit to be honest and everything is dirt cheap, just enjoy your time and choose the right follow on. stay overseas i didnt do that and got stuck in bodunk missouri

I know what you mean. I really want Germany after Korea but my wife is active duty guard and she is trying to go to OTS in 2014 so im not sure what im going to do.

Did Kunsan 97-98. I actually had Osan but turned it down. Figured if I had to be away from the wife and kids for a year I would rather be at a place that everyone was in the same boat of no family around. Everyone said I would hate it, but actually a ton of stuff to do in Kunsan City besides getting drunk for 365 days. In fact I am trying to go back to Kunsan to get out of Holloman AFB,NM. As someone said in another post, STAY OVERSEAS if you can.
