Good eats in Auburn?

I am bringing my family to town on Saturday for the BBall game and wondered if anyone had a great lunch spot suggestion. We have been to AU many times but have not had many opportunities to experience something uniquely Auburn. Thanks in advance for the suggestions and War Eagle!

You can't go wrong with Mike and Ed's BBQ, or a little closer to the Arena is Mamma G's.
I've got too much Auburn in me to act like bammer trash.

I'm coming down tomorrow as well....
My 5yr old and I are going to Cheeburger Cheeburger. It's someplace he wanted to go but if I were going to recommend someplace Amsterdam Cafe is good (might be a little pricey though).
I haven't been to Moe's B-B-Q on Magnolia St. but heard it was good (Cam was there last week so it must be ok !)
That's a tough one b/c I go down there alot with my family as well but I just realized that I eat at the same places and only Amsterdam is really the only "Auburn" place that we eat. I look forward to seeing what other people recommend.

Amsterdam. Great lunches there. Also, the Little Italy Pizza is awesome and right off Mag downtown.

Those would be my two picks for lunch spots that are uniquely Auburn. The BBQ House and Byron's also has good BBQ. The Chicken Salad Chick on Opelika Rd is also very good.

I'd echo some of what others have said: Mike and Ed's, Momma Goldberg's, and Chicken Salad Chick are all outstanding. Another thought: although it's not right in town, Chappy's Deli at the interesction of Glenn and Dean is really goood.

Mike & Ed's is awesome. Their potato salad is like Heaven. There's also Niffer's on Opelika Road. They have awesome burgers.
Huddles are for rookies.

Niffers is fun, good burgers. Amsterdam Cafe is very good. Can't go wrong with Momma G's.

Mike and Ed's is indeed awesome. Now, if you are up for a but I'd a drive to Opelika, I strongly reccomend Ma Fia's (probably the best Italian resteraunt in the area) or the Irish Bred Pub. Ma Fia's is a little small, so seating is limited, but both resteraunts have amazing food and impeccable service. The Shepherd's Pie and the Beef and Guinness stew are both amazing.
Both resteraunts are on Railroad Ave, right off of 8th St in downtown Opelika (and I'll give Opelika a shout-out--they've done a great job revamping the downtown area).

Agree on Chappy's. It's good for families because the menu is diverse (and all good) and the kid's meals are inexpensive.
