I would love to see them get knocked down a peg, would like to see #5 put a clowney on Lacey about the time he start the spin move

I dont think if one team is good it does anything for the sport.
It might make those teams and their fans happy. But the idea that it makes college football better when they are good pisses me off just as much as their one team TV deal.
Look at this point.... If ND wins 8 games they get in the BCS games. Is that better for football or is that better for ND?
They play a cupcake schedule with only a couple big games a year. Does that match the gauntlet that the SEC teams face week in and week out?
Every time they lose they get the entire media to say "awe lay off ND they have higher standards than the rest of college football". Do they realy have higer standards or do they get the exact same kids that the rest of the schools get. And if not why does a school like Ga Tech not get the same love?
Obi- I get the hate for bama and I have tons of that same hate. But the idea that one team being god makes college football better is a media drvien nonsensical idea.
If Auburn is good...My college football world is better. If AU is not good...My SPORTS world sucks! No other team in the country makes college football better or worse for me. Maybe I am too focused on AU but they are my team and the team i care about. The rest can go suck eggs for all I care. Until they get preferential treatment like ND does at all times.

Ha. I just up voted Obie.
I married into a ND family. Wife went there and father in law played on the '66 championship team. I will be pulling for them Big Time!! Can't wait to see #5 play. Go Irish.
This will be the highest rated game ever, higher than USC / TX. That's why it's good to have ND in the game, if for nothing else. Also, if media loves to talk about ND, they ain't talking about dick satan.
By the way, wife now gets it...she's finding a strong loathing for the toothless nation. I'm so proud of her:-)
