He has had 2 undefeated seasons as an Auburn coach. This fact alone should calm the senseless down.
A few plays go our way, and we could easily have a 3-2 season right now.
If not for fumble(s) in the Clemson game, and dropped pass in the LSU game, we knock both those top 25 teams off.
Some of you can cry and baby if you want, be miserable.
I'm not, I'm standing strong with Gene Chizik. He is our Coach, he is an Auburn man, he loves Auburn. He is a great coach. He has already won 2 National Championships (should be 3 including the perfect season in 2004), and he isn't finished.
WAR DAMN EAGLE!

He has one undefeated season at Auburn as head coach due in very large part to a quarterback he initially refused to recruit...
If we stopped Trent Richardson in 2009 on a 30 yard run, Texas would most likely have another National Championship. If Auburn doesn't come from behind against 7 teams in 2010, we don't even make a bowl game. We don't live in a world of ifs.
I'm not miserable. I'm damn angry that our athletics director gave a guy who wasn't a threat to leave a $10 million buyout. And I'm damn angry that our head football coach has an ego the size of the sun and it's blinding him to his own ignorance.
You go ahead and stand beside Chizik. When you are neck deep in quicksand, I'll still be a gentleman and give you my hand. Also, Doug Barfield loved Auburn but not sure you'd want him running your football program.

To reverse the same argument many naysayers are giving. Ultimate responsibilty is the head coach, and ultimately Gene Chizik decided to take Cam Newton.
Is it wrong for Chizik to question taking Cam Newton, with the off the field issues he had at Florida?
Ultimately Gene Chizik accepted a commitment from Cam Newton, and Gene Chizik ultimately won the National Championship.
