***Chizik on what he told his team after 0-2 start...
"This is a man's game and it reveals everything about who you are. You know what, we're manning up, starting with me."
Chizik went on to say that he's not going to hang his head and neither are his players and he's pleased with how they've responded.
***Chizik said ULM's QB is extremely talented and their defensive is very tough to prepare for.
"Their defense is very schematically complicated," Chizik said. "...(The Arkansas win) was not a fluke. This is a good football team."
***Chizik said right now they're not anticipating any changes in the secondary this week but that will be determined through practice this week.
"There will be competition," he said.
***Chizik on Kiehl Frazier saying he made a mistake 75 percent of the time.
"I wouldn't say that's accurate. I would say that's a young guy putting a lot of pressure on himself," Chizik said. "...Kiehl is one of many that want and need to play better, and we need to coach better."
***Chizik said Christian Westerman has worked hard to earn playing time and is extremely close to winning a starting job.
***Chizik said Greg Robinson wasn't 100 percent but his injury against MSU won't keep him out this week.
***Chizik said both RB's Tre Mason and Mike Blakely are capable of doing the job and they will work out a playing rotation this week. He said if they get in a game and one gets into a groove, they will stick with him more.
"We've got confidence in both guys," he said.
***Chizik said he feels good about where Auburn's at on special teams.
***Chizik said, "We're working on getting better on defense, period."
***Chizik on Jovon Robinson and Memphis...
"I'm worried about one thing this week. I'm focusing on Auburn football and winning a football game this week. I'm not going to get into any of that."
they'll grind out a win this weekend.
It won't be by much and it won't be pretty but it will be a win, none the less (which probably won't do the naysayers any good either as they'll associate/equate a win by the smallest of margins against ULM to a loss).
The DLine can't get out of position, especially the ends. That QB made Arky pay.
Auburn from day one.
I think that Saturday's game with La - Monroe, is probably critical to Coach Chizik keeping his job. If we lose, I think he is gone, maybe before the end of the year. Even if we look bad and win, I think it may be a problem. We will see. He has worked himself into a rough spot with the way the season has begun, and how the next few games lay out on the schedule. If we lose Saturday, we are looking at 0-5. He wont survive that.
-From the looks of things, there needs to be some more tryouts... Yeesh...

The question is, why did we go thru spring drills, summer workouts, and fall drills..........then go 0-2 and realize it's time to man up.
A little late to the party coach.
