Gameday impresses 4-star RB

  • I'm glad they continue to recruit. I know this season has been terrible and the worst I've seen but I still do not fully blame Chizik. I'm pretty sure without looking up stats that we are still the youngest team in the SEC. I'm 100% positive that he will not have left the cupboard bare when he's gone as did TT did when he left. TT quit on the job the year after he went 13-0, it's evident in his recruiting classes, atleast Chizik continue's to do what is right for AU even though his job is on the line. Most on this board continue to say that Wallace has been a good addition to the team, that was the first thing CSL did when he got here was look for a QB and signed one. Could it have been that everyone on the staff knew we didn't have a QB? I just wish that wallace would have been given the job sooner so that the team wouldn't have quit when they knew there was nothing but pride to play for. I know to most that means a lot and to me it does also but to 17-22 yr old's it's very easy to get discouraged and quit.

We have the best special teams coach in the country. I would keep him for sure.

Or...maybe our special teams have had more game experience than any other in the nation.

As a business leader, I agree with your initial issue/rhetorical question regarding performance and personnel issues and the AU program. However, I don't consider "The Donald" to be an exemplary leader of a complex organization. Yes, he is very rich and clearly entertaining. But he is not what I would catagorize as the flexible type of patient leader that can be decisive when necessary that is required in a true high pressure business setting or a high profile academic setting such as this one. Just my two cents and no offense to the Trump fans out there.

Yeah, I should have left off the Donald comment. I don't have a lot of respect for him, either. I was just using him as an example to convey that Auburn needs leadership and is not getting it. Auburn will lose this recruiting class when it doesn't have to. It will all be on Gogue. If he announced a change now, the recruits could be told that a better staff is coming in. The recruits should be all for this if they want good coaching. By the time Gogue gets around to it, this class will be gone. He should be thinking about damage control. Auburn can survive a missed recruiting year, but it cannot survive an indecisive leader. Who said "lead, follow, or get the heck out of the way"? That quote certainly fits Auburn today.

  • we need recruits that want to play for AUBURN..if they only want to play for CGC and he is gone, then we don't need them
