Glad that CGC has placed a lot of emphasis on special teams. STs may not win a game, but it can sure lose games if it is not good.

Probably. Kohl's uses their own rating system just for special team players.

I wonder why, but it seems that kickers are often overlooked by the SEC schools. All except for AU that is! Pinning the competition further back gives us more of a chance to regain possession, and a better return! I love it !

These 2 guys will help us win games in the future . They are the only kickers that are currently committed out of the top 5 recruiting classes to date per 247. I would rather have them help us win games versus mythical rankings.Way to go CGC!!

How they rate kickers is just another example of why the "recruiting wars" don't always predict a winning team. A number one recruiting team could potentially sign all the four stars that don't make it to school, or drop out for a reason. You never know how the kids will react.

Special Teams have a positive effect in every game they play if the kicking game is sound. Field position as indicated up front. Very important and very dependent on the kicking game.

They will only make a difference in 2-3 games per year??? Kickers make a difference in every game of the season, be it a positive or negative difference.

I'll gadly drop a couple of spots in recruiting to win when it counts (as CGC obviously has in mind).
Kickers are IMHO a very important aspect of football as voiced by more than one old time renowned SEC coach.
The recruiting class really means little if they don't get the job done.
KICKERS are paramount in getting the job done!

To be fair, kicking game could have a varying degree of difference in the outcome of games.If ur blowing everyone out kicking could mean not as much.BUT, if ur games all come down to the wire it could be essential.
