  • Auburn family, boy do I have some good news for youby bamaistrash, 11/13/10 11:04 PM Just got back from Auburn....been down there since Friday afternoon.

    I wouldnt normally do something like this, but I am going to step out and do it now. And I will continue to do it until it doesnt need to be done any longer.

    I have VERY good sources that have told me everything that has gone on from November to now on everything involving the nothing that is the Cam Newton smear campaign.

    Cam will be playing against bama, he will be playing against USC in Atlanta, and he will be playing in what ever bowl AU ends up in.

    Most of the stuff you are hearing out there about Cam is true. Not all of it, but most of it. But AU is clear, Cam is clear, Cecil is clear and everything that has been reported inthe past 9 days is old news to AU, MSU, the SEC and the NCAA.

    The NCAA is not investigating Auburn right now....they never were. They actually had a coupl lawyers in AU Thursday (per Auburn's request) to confirm what the AU athletic dept already knew....we have done our work and Cam is eligible.

    I will be more than happy to divulge more details...I know all of them now , but I am going to bed now.

    But I will say this....the info has been leaked by a bama asst coach/GA named Jody Wright. HE was a GA at MSU last year, he is the leak. MSU is not the problem. I am 100% certain of this and I will prvide more info in the near future. MSU never wanted any of this to come out....this was all a done deal as of August.

    Trust me....all the crap that is being posted on here is crap. AU is fine....Cam is fine. Do not believe any of the garbage that you read out there...it is all garbage, just like Chizik said.

  • I think if you read the news stories accurately, the source says that Cecil admitted entering into "discussions" regarding money, not that he solicited it first. A fine point, but still worth making. I'm sure everyone has heard of the criminal legal defense of "entrapment," where by a police authority suggests a plan criminal conduct and the other party agrees, but no evidence the person would have done so otherwise.

  • Phillip, I know it is difficult for you to come right out and say everything you know of right now, but from what I am gathering, it seems AU, SEC, and NCAA are on exactly the same page, have been for awhile, and it would take something new (and very very bad) to absolutely everyone to get Cam ruled ineligible. Am I correct? Am I close?
