Speaking of Westerman, I followed a link one evening last week that led to an article regarding his situation, etc., that was posted on the 247 ASU site(I think). Anyway, his dad seemed to insinuate that Christian was used to playing "smash-mouth" football and that the block wasn't finished until he buried his opponent. According to the dad, Jr. never really got the opportunity to show his stuff, and he even said that AU folks had sort of ostracized him. I know every kid has big plans when they finally ink that letter and fax it on across, and I wouldn't want them any other way—full of 'piss 'n' vinegar' and ready to spit in the devil's eye. However, Westerman never seemed to take that last big step to complete the transition from High School phenom, with a ton of upside, to become Christian Westerman—grown man, with a nasty streak and harboring bad intentions. I really thought he was going to be 'that guy'. Four years earlier I recall thinking the same thing of Lee Ziemba, and he never "owned" that role either. Hopefully Westerman will be happier back in Arizona. It never helps to have anyone out there who is disgruntled with your program or coach. And the search goes on for that mean s.o.b. who'll take things over down in the trenches for us.

Don't get me wrong, I love Corey and appreciate his talent and all that he has done for Auburn. But, I'm tellin' ya, at the end of the day, Dee Ford will prove better.
