.....I've heard is said that the first thing you look for when building a team is good defensive tackles, followed by corners. Past three years, we've either had speed, or we've had physical corners. Walt McFadden was the only player with both. Some of these freshman corners this year are the first ones we've gotten in that seem maybe to have both characteristics.

......Zach Etheridge was a great run stopper, but you cringed when you saw him one on one with a speedy slot receiver. Same could be said of a number of Auburn DBs going way back before Lolley and Roof were coaching them. Will Herring. Eric Brock. It's really, really rare to get big guys that can run with SEC receivers, and still be able to tackle them.
