Paul Finebaum, the polarizing personality of college football's signature call-in show, is leaving the Birmingham, Ala., market where his contract expired in January, for Charlotte, N.C., and a national forum: ESPN.

Finebaum and ESPN belong together. They are birds of a similar species, turkey vultures.

You should prepare yourself to live with the consequences of your decisions, whatever they may be.
Please tell me no!!! I live in the Charlotte market and stopped listening to afternoon radio after Mark Packer[ very good host] was replaced By Taylor Zarzar [Bama Grad] now Finebaum! I feel like I am being punished!!
I'm glad he's gone. He's a poisonous presence in this state. ESPN will find out that they are getting a lousy excuse for a radio host and commentator. He can't write, he does no work other than pushing buttons and answering phone calls. Not to mention his vile character. He's embarrassed himself every time he's been on ESPN. He'll be a much smaller fish in a much bigger pond. I love this news.
kick 'em in the ass, big blue.

Representing ESPN is a little different than hosting a regional radio show. If you have watched much of him on ESPN you have surely noticed that he is a totally different personality. I expect that he will be unbiased. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if he went for the Mark Clayton style approach.
