What excites me about Loeffler and the makeup of our personnel is the fact that we have the ability to do a ton of different things this year and he knows this. We can line up and go 5-wide with Blake, Lutz, Coates, Bray, and whomever else as well as line up in the I-formation with Prosch leading the way or go really big with Prosch, Lutz, Fulse, and Uzomah in the game together. I think Loeffler know what we are capable of. As long as Frazier progresses like I think he will and the OL plays to its potential we could be scary good.

When have we not had power football at Auburn? We are, and have ALWAYS been "Running Back U". It doesn't matter what type of offense we run. What matters is having an offensive line that can knock a D line on their butts and open a hole for our running backs to get through. Whether we are using a true fullback or H-back, or any other variation of back field, the O line has to be able to knock the D line back. We have always run grater than 60 - 70 % of the time. We have never had a pure passing game, but if the D has 8 or 9 in the box, then you have to pass or speed to the ends with misdirections or reverses. The Great Auburn offenses have ALWAYS had Great O lines. I think this year we will start to get that Great O line back and with the backs we have we will see them run wild.

If the OL can't open the edges, how do you expect them to open holes in the middle where the defense is stacked? Also remember that many of those east/west plays were trying to break Omac down the side, and a lot of them did just that. Omac's sweep threat enabled Dyer to gain many of the yards he did.

I agree. This year's line should be bigger, stronger, much more experienced and hopefully something that was sorely missing from last year... leadership. If CGC and crew continues in their recuiting and we don't have excessive injuries, I don't think we'll ever again see the OL problems we had last year. That's why I place most of the blame on 2011 on Tubb's recruiting and not on any particular system.

I also think that we will have a good year in 2012, but 2013 and 2014 could definitely see us in the hunt for the BCS or whatever it will be called by then. Just remember, the odd years are when we have the toughest schedules.
