Everyone Calm Down

  • Let's all take a step back and relax and see what happens. Do I think major changes are needed? Yes. Do I think major changes will be made? Probably. None of us know for sure what's going to happen. I think it's safe to assume that JJ will fight to keep CGC in place since his authority is directly tied to him. We have no idea what Dr. Gogue is going to do, if anything. There's been a lot of assumptions that Petrino will be the next coach at AU. I don't believe that he will be and I sincerely feel that there are much better options out there. But you've got to go look for them. We cannot panic and make a coaching change w/o cleaning out the house where this mess was started. if a coaching change is decided upon, the one thing we don't want to do is get in a hurry and go hire this year's 'Flavor of the Month.' Whoever makes that decision should weigh all the options........college HCs, NFL head coaches, college assts and NFL assts. Do it thorough. We cannot afford to get this wrong. if we do, it could set us back 5 or 6 years or even more. What I do know is that the new coach (if there is one) must be someone whom the players will respect and know that he is the only one in charge and that his word is the one they'd better heed.
