  • I've gotten to know D-Lo over the past year. He is a very quiet, humble young man who is full of desire and has a great work ethic. While most kids in his position, older after sitting out for two seasons before playing his freshman year and not living up to "expectations", would've quit by now, DeAngelo is determined to finish his degree and is driven to succeed and produce on the field. No one is more disappointed in D-Lo than he himself. He may not ever live up to the hype and high expectations of Auburn fans but I can say with 100% certainty that DeAngelo Benton puts forth 110% on the field. Regardless of how he performs on Saturdays this year, he will always be one of my favorite Auburn Tigers. I wish DeAngelo the best, he's a great kid and a true Auburn Man!

  • I remember someone asked after the hire, " If Loeffler is such a great coach, why did'nt Urban hire him at Ohio St?" Everyone knows that no true Michigan man would ever coach at OhioSt. Dot That i, They rank right up there with bammer with me. I hope we see some of Carr's old Michigan physical play from Loeffler's Play calling. I think that goes well with Auburn's tradition of football.

  • Whether DBenton lives up to expectations on the field or not, I hope he gets his degree and is a productive member of society. Not many of these guys make it to the NFL. Some former atletes (e.g. gene jelks, jimmy johns) actually turn out to be nothing but adult babies that the rest of us have to pay for.

  • Although we all love it if we're on here, there is certainly more to life than just football or sports in general for that matter. It's good to see Benton living his life to its fullest potential and he has nothing to be disappointed in with himself. He's training as hard as he can and he's humble and he has a good attitude. Sometimes it just doesn't work out the way you thought it would. That's okay because what really matters is what kind of person you become and it sounds like Mr. Benton is becoming quite the upstanding and respectable young man. War Eagle D-LO!
