How is Ellis at recruiting? Also can someone remind me how his defenses are setup and all that jazz.

I really like this choice for DC. I of course am very happy with Brian Van Gorder and Willie Martinez and would think if we can get EJ, to keep these two and let BVG bring in his own staff and recruits to really turn this around. We saw improvement in the secondary (even though we had no INTs if I am not mistaken) and they can definitely improve. However, EJ is a solid choice and considered the best. WDE Coach.

Was just talking about this possibility with a friend moments after the hire of Gus. If we can get Ellis Johnson, that would go a LONG way in uniting this fan base, at least until the wins start piling up again. Ellis Johnson = Christmas come early!!

Exactly right on this is not exciting to me at all his defenses have not been all that great.An Alabama fan laughed at me when he heard Ellis name he said well I hope ya'll do score alot of points because you still want be playing defense.IMO Ellis is not a good hire for our defense.Gotta be someone better out there.

The South Carolina "Big Spur" defense was his if I'm not mistaken.
