WDE 1361, apology accepted and my own offered. I want this youngster to come to Auburn and be as charmed with the towns people as I was some 68 years ago. Yeah, 68 years. Seems impossible. Joliet and the mid west should not be ignorant of Auburn, all of it not just the football program. There were a few from Will County and surrroundings in Huntsville working for Marshall and none of us were run of the mill. Three were Illinois grads and I was from Auburn. It would be really neat if Auburn could grab some of the midwestern talent as franklly it's wasted at places like Ohio State, Michigan, Northswestern, lowa etc., etc., etc., etc. Five minutes after meeting our coeds, they'll be cooked well done, as was I. I think Auburn has a youngster from New Lenox on the roster, and New Lenox if just seven miles from Joliet.
