Dyer's Decision

  • Was things that bad at Auburn? He decided to transfer and sit out a year. Im sure his plans are to enter the draft after next season regardless if he has to sit out or not , but he will lose a lot of stock dont you think he should have just sucked it up like a man played his heart out then entered the draft just baffles me must have gotten some bad advice from someone. Things never seemed that bad from wathcing games he was always patting guys on the back seemed like a real team player guess there were a lot we didn't see behind the scenes.

Im new to the site so if this has been addressed before i apologize.

  • Dyer decided to transfer because he knew Chizik wasn't going to put up with his bad behavior. Who knows what Chizik asked Dyer to do in order to make it back onto the team...but apparently Dyer wasn't willing to do it. He must have figured life would be easier under Gus. I sure hope Gus knows what he is doing (concerning Dyer) and doesn't enable Dyer any further than what we've already heard on here from people with real knowledge of the situation like AUGirl.

  • Not the grammar police and not a commentary on your thread at all, but please get a copy of MS Word. Your grammar is really bad.

That way you might use spell/grammar check before subjecting us to such sentence run on's.

    Thanks and good luck

  • Overall it just seems a bit sad. Dyer could have conceivably been Auburn's all time leading rusher when all was said and done. You combine that with him clearly overcoming adversity (had he stayed) and it would have been a great story.

Now, questions will and should be asked about his hush hush transfer to AR State.

I think he makes it to the pros. I also think he may have cost himself some money with his (seeming) immaturity.

Best of luck to the kid.

  • My post is now corrected - from a smart phone. I had no spell check available and the text is too small for my tired old eyes.

I stand by my original post. If you're going to start a new thread then at least take the time to review it in a word processing program before posting.

Go ahead and use all of your down votes on me but be literate.

When it comes to running backs, especially with the current CBA, they wont make their big money check until their second contract. By that time they're starting to get banged up and they may have one more contract after that and they're done. Staying at Auburn probably would have helped his draft choice, but the performance he does with his first contract will be what gets him that big check.
