I know #1,2, but otherwise sec is down this year. AU, UF, UT. KY, MSU, UGA, certainly Ole MS are "down", Ark is OK Vandy is mildly up I guess (whatever that means). Not many elite players being touted as top draft pics as the last couple of years Fairley AJ green, Julio, Dareus, Mallett, Peterson, Pouncey, Carpenter, Cobb, much less Nevis, ziemba, etc. and certainly no Cam. Before that E Berry, Hernandez....It just does not feel the same hype-wise about richardson, barron ,childs a jeffrey-no qb's. Nat'l champ #6 could be coming but I say the league is significantly down. Thoughts??
I agree if you go to bspn.com they have a power rankings comparing conferences and the sec is usually #1 but this year we fall to #2 trailing to the big 12
I guess it depends how you define your conference power rankings.
Is it which conference wins the MNC?
Or how many teams in the Top 5,10, 25?
Or do you compare each conferences #1 vs #1, #2 v #2, etc, then guess who would win a head to head match-up then count the number of wins each conference would tally?
I tend to use the # of teams in the top 5, 10, 25 method. Who cares what happens at the bottom of the conference. And USC won 2 MNC but the remaining PAC 10 teams were terrible.
