So now ESPN has anonymous sources among MSU "recruiters". There seems to be an endless supply of alligators. I don't mean UF Gators, I mean those in the old saying "When you're up to your ass in alligators, you have trouble remembering that you set out to drain the swamp". Someone may be skillfully releasing alligators (allegations) to keep AU from draining the swamp (winning the SEC).

On the other hand, one must recognize the possibility that some or all of the allegations are true. If so, the NCAA will probably make Newton ineligible any time now. If that's going to happen, the sooner the better. Malzahn won't concede even if Newton has to sit.

But if all the allegations are falsehoods, they are being very effectively master-minded by someone who doesn't want AU to win either another Heisman or another SEC title. The successive allegations all too obviously seem to be coming from Starkville or Gainesville. If they are indeed beng made up by someone, I doubt that he is in Mississippi or Florida.
