I posted this elsewhere, just my thoughts and would like yours.

Unbelievable that people don't understand how good of a coach in every facet he is. He has won big everywhere he had been in college, and in our division. His defenses have been better than Chiz. His offense blew almost everyone out. No NCAA trouble. Took over a Louisville team that had worse arrest problem than us, and had no discipline issues, and spurrier said he is the top off coach in America. He left two jobs for better opportunity. So did Chiz and tubs. He screwed tubs over and Chiz did too by agreeing to be his DC in jetgate.

He slept with a mistress. I've heard many stories about our coaches and the turds coaches having more than one mistress. The big issue was covering it up. The guy had everything to lose and made a terrible decision. Some of us have all made terrible decisions. He had a huge buyout so he couldn't leave arky. He'll have the same here. His buyout was mostly put in place to keep us from hiring him, IMO.

Bvg called him about the arky dc position last year, so I'm sure he will stay along with a couple others, which will hold our class together. With alot of our current commits committed to Auburn, he can put a real focus on finding a Juco QB that can run his system, and building relationships for the 2014 class. He will have to deal with negative recruiting. Chiz has had to deal with it for four years, and recruiting against getting canned for sleeping with a hot blonde, is much different than recruiting against Chiz getting you no shot at the pros because of underdevelopment, 5-19, and the barn is burning. One thing they cannot say is Petrino can't develop or won't win. the proof is in the pudding.

The Chizik hire was the most divisive hire I can remember in my lifetime. I remember cursing JJ like he was my worst enemy. JABA this and JABA that. The Petrino hire will be divisive, but it seems a large contingent are warming up to the thought of taking down the football factory to the west. Winning cures all, as even I as Chiz's biggest detractor jumped on board when he hired Malzahn and the recruiters. I had no idea he would handcuff both sides of the ball to the point of the worst Auburn team in history. My belief is that if Chiz can win a natty at Auburn (avg to below avg head coach with a great player and good staff), then CBP can win multiple natties here (great coach with great players and a good staff). The petrino faction that doesn't want him will accept him when he wins and shows he can be an Auburn man, just like myself did with Chiz, because I believed in Auburn and loved it and you should, too.

Its very possible CBP will be our coach next year and there is no better place to rebuild his family than with the Auburn Family.
