I don't post all that much, but read most everything and I am absolutely amazed at the large number of ridiculous posts claiming that this is the coach's fault. Good grief people. Please don't insult yourselves. Do you really think a high school football coach is going to sit his best player by a long shot because he is going to Auburn?? I cannot believe how many of you really seem to think that. In many situations, High School footbal coaches' jobs and reputations lie solely on their wins and losses.

And another thing... if Dee Liner were a commit to Alabama, the same folks that are talking this nonsense would be the first ones lined up talking bad about the kid,the kinds of players AL recruits, etc.

It's really really hard to read some of this stuff. I listen repeatedly to the over the top conspiracy theories - while some of them are reasonable, many of them are just plain nuts. But I gotta give it to you - the nonsense that Dee Liner is being suspended from his team due to his committment to AU is just plain foolish. Trust me, everybody doesn't live life along the lines of Alabama vs Auburn. It sounds like to me, Dee has some growing up to do, and yes, I would expect the AU coaches to be keeping a close eye on this situation - only not for the reasons suggested in this thread. My money says they aren't blaming the high school coach.
And if this post gets me a gazillion down votes, I couldn't care less. I've read enough nonsense in this thread alone to last me a lifetime.

You guys are not very bright girl7 knows well and good what is going on in her back yard... there are a ton of you Bammers on here posing as Family... trying to muddy the waters.... this is an all out attack on Dee because he is all Auburn. It is killing Saban and The REC that we are kicking their butts on all fronts in recuiting. They where supposed to get a NC bounce in recuiting but guess what... man i love these coaches they are taking them to the woodshed in the state... as for the coach in north ala I will just stick with what girl7 said Roll Tide Coach... and now you know the rest of the story...

IMO: It is good to see a coach discipline a player based on a issue rather than how important role they play or how many stars they have on recruiting sites. If a player doesn't learn now, then they are in for a shock in college. Pike is an example.

I don't know the issue. Regardless, being a "good" person is a prerequisite to being a productive member of a team. Dyer is an example.

He is young. I couldn't imagine the pressure he is under. Hopefully this will be a learning experience for him.
