***Ford said this is the type of game that Auburn players look forward to and their 1-2 record doesn't matter. Ford said he plans to step up his play against LSU.

"This is what we came to Auburn for -- primetime," Ford said.

***Ford said it will be crucial for Auburn's d-ends to play well against the run.

***Ford said he likes not having to face a mobile quarterback. He said they have to bul rush most of the time against mobile quarterbacks like they faced last week.

"I can pin my ears back this week," he said.

***Ford said they are understanding the defense better and communicating better from Week 1 to Week 3. He said the defense is very different from what they've run in the past but it allows you to play faster once you learn it.

***Ford on the opportunity to turn the season around with a win over LSU...

"This is a great chance," Ford said. "We're not trying to remember these last few week. We're trying to show we are still Auburn and nothing has changed."

***Dee Ford on the player-only meeting last week...

"We have a lot of guys that really care, not just about football, but about the development of this team," he said. "...We really preached about doing your job ... and sticking together."

***Ford said it was his missed assignment that gave up the 39-yard TD run by QB Kolton Browning last week.

"The potential of this team is great. We've just got to stop shooting ourselves in the foot," he said.
