Auburn defensive tackles Gabe Wright and Jeff Whitaker welcome defensive line coach Rodney Garner, who once recruited them for Georgia.
These players are saying what we want to hear. Men, standng and making statemernts that suggest that next season, we'll see a D Line that we can be proud to see. I wonder if some of the words we're reading depict a relationship other coaches might find beneficial in their programs. Seems like Garner get's to his men without making them resentful, or diminish their want to improve. An observation and probably no connection at all. There is a concept that I have never seen before although that's no reason to believe it's entirely new. I notice that the O Linemen seem lo recognize that the pace of S & C is the pace of the game and S & C isn't likely to deliver men not ready to shift gears from practice to playing. Something I believe Coach Gimes mentioned some weeks ago. It would seem that the program is showing bits and pieces of being better integrated than we're used to seeing. Wonderful.
"If you can't put your faith in an Auburn man, who can you put your faith in?"
It is interesting to hear the talk. After a 3 win season I am more interested in seeing the results on the field this fall.
Ever to Conquer!!
Gabe Wright, Whitaker and company better step up on and off the field with leadership and gaining the green jerseys!Because if they dont, then there's some highly recruited young men we got that are hungry for some playing time. Thanks PM! WDE!!!
Really gained a lot of respect for Gabe after reading his comments. It takes some cahones for him to admit that he did "little to nothing" to help his team.
I didn't see tnfc's post on here, so I'm assuming it got deleted! If so, that's a good call - we don't need that kind of personal negativity on here. I think everyone should be given a clean slate and allowed to progress under this new staff. Time will tell whether the changes are beyond words. Trust me - if I complain I'll give reasons, and options to make it better. Remember, there's always 3 ways to do something - this way, that way, or nothing. Best to do nothing if you have no answer to the problem. WDE!!
This is Auburn Country!! Eufaula, Alabama! WDE!!

and dont forget bradley , i think he comes in and takes someones place right of the bat
For all of you impatient laddies - you all do realize that there is a schedule of events and football seasonal games dont start until AUgust? Why on earth would you bad mouth these young men and question their integrity of commitment/improvement now? Do you want them to just start the season right now? Sit back and enjoy the maturation process that is overtaking the AU Football Tigers. Or would you all rather them say "no comment" when interviewed???? In that event you all would bad mouth PM and the rest of the staff for not paying due diligence to getting inside information via interviews.
"I dont expect it to be easy, but I expect it to be done..."
Thanks Phillip. No complaints here. Sounds like these guys are acknowledging the lack of..... well, everything last year and are working hard, enjoying the new coaches and looking forward to the start of the season! WDE
