Defeat doesn't finish a man - quit does. A man is not finished when he's defeated. He's finished when he quits. - Richard Nixon
Now that is a gigantic joke. From how I understand things, it was James that was the bully. His son was a pre-madonna 2 star player that Mike picked up over Sam-Houston St. The kid refused to work hard or put in the time needed yet Craig demanded (on a regular basis) that his son deserved more playing time. Craig even went so far as to hire a marketing firm to smeer Mike's name in the media and did so with ESPN leading the way. Craig James needs to wake up .
His son was a knucklehead that was lucky to have kept his scholarship in the first place. And while he is coming to that realization he can come to grips with his alter ego doing everything in its power to trash Mike Leach in the background out of the publics view while laying innocent to the camera.

I don't think they even wanted the James kid at SMU.
And guess who was behind the ESPN reporting of the original story? None other than Mr. Schad. At the time, we had no idea just how crooked his agenda was.
You guys are well-read. I want to join in recommending Swing Your Sword - truly a great book and and an interesting look into a brilliant mind.
James and his son are simply products of growing up spoiled and coddled. Kinda funny how no one at ESPN ever really mentions he was at SMU when all the stuff was going down that got them the death penalty. James was certainly an outstanding college RB, but used to being the center of attention. I think it's fantastic his dream of walking right into politics backfired.
Regarding Schad, this was one of many stories he rushed to judgment on and got wrong. I followed his work when he was the beat writer for the Miami Dolphins. He worked his tail off following the team, but his hunches were ALWAYS wrong. Obviously this never changed when he reached the big stage.
