Fairley and D Adams were 3-stars. Recruiting 'gurus' don't know jack. I'll take Van Gorder's judgment over some Internet-jockey who never put on pads any day.

I really like this kid. He is not you average small guy that is fast and wants to play receiver. I feel like their is a reason the smashmouth, physically minded BVG likes him, and I can tell the reason why. These guy reminds me of a weaker R. Therezie. He is fast and he doesn't shy away from contact, and he is not that small at 5'10 185 pounds. I figure when he gets in to a college weight program he couls easily be 195 at corner, and still keep his speed or gets faster. I like this kid.

When are you star gazers going to realize that * ratings in HS don't mean one darn thing about how a kid will perform on the field. It ain't *'s that make stars. It's heart and desire that makes stars on the field. And if BVG doesn't know a baller when he sees one then you can be damn sure there ain't any recruiting service raters that know a baller when they see one. I'll take BVG's rating over all of the so called recruiting service raters who claim to be "experts". I would bet that most of those so called "experts" have never, let alone spent one minute actually coaching a football team. Wake up guys and quite dreaming about *'s.

I am happy to have this young man aboard for several reasons, not the least of those reasons being because HE is excited about the opportunity of coming to Auburn. As for how many stars he either has or doesn't have keep this in mind. National signing day is still eight months away so we aren't in a panic to just sign someone, and the numbers and quality we've signed there the past couple of years would suggest that corner is already stocked with talent. So if our coaches have decided to offer this kid and accept his firm commitment then I think they are onto something here. Stay tuned....
