There was a thread on the board with a video of our coach Russell working out the players at ArkState. I happened to watch a video of the first five minutes or so of their "A-day" game. I started thinking about the difficulty in picking your starting QB coming out of spring practice When they have on the "no hit" jersey. It's hard to evaluate how good of a runner they are when the whistle blows on the first touch. May have been the reason it took a couple of games to truly evaluate Cam and turn him loose. I don't propose letting the QB get hit - we all know how that turned out in 2009.
I don't propose a solution but it does present the coaches a difficult evaluation in the HUNH. I remember being frustrated that they didn't name a starting QB until the fall in 2010(I think this is correct). Any thoughts?
