A home run is a must
We need a mean SOB that says my way or the highway. I think we are looking at a two year minimum to fix this clustee &%$#
But there is a great deal of ignorance on this board who think Jimbo is the man. He can't beat Nc St but he'd be a great fit at AU--gees

Agree. Neither are the answer to fix thi mess.
If guss gets the job we have settled period
End of discussion. Jimbo can be as mean as he wants he isn't the answer
As I recall when Jimbo was in Auburn with Bowden he was known around town, especially in the rec softball league, as a real bad azz. I remember something about the rec dept head calling Bowden about him getting into fights during games. Hey I kinda like that! He also cut his coaching teeth along side a pretty tough OL coach, The Trickett. I really don't think he would have a problem being a mean SOB at all, I know he already is.
Gus stepped in in '09 and broke most of our records at the time with Chris Todd, and the same supporting cast that had just laid an egg in the Iron Bowl the previous year. We overachieved all three years that he was our OC. I'm not saying he's absolutely the best, but he'll do fine if he's hired. Someone's in the know, because Spencer Tillman said that he's being told that it will be swift. Not sure who that makes it more likely that we see as our next HC, but I like the swift part!
Do you know why CGM let MD transfer knowing his issues and why he recruited Pike with his issues? I am not implying anything with my questions but they have been raised by others. Did coaches under CGC make their own recruiting targets? Was the upside greater than the risk with these players? Is the culture of non discipline such that a saint could end up hitting a lick with the current staff? If CGM is a serious candidate, will he be able to stand up to those who may want to take ethical shortcuts or would he look away to keep his job? I do not know the man from adam and do not have the picture of the man. Would he allow a tj or a jj to interfere with his program? Would his wife want to come back here after getting a taste of the heat in this state?
