if getting Carl Lawson to sign with AU meant having an AU booster pull a Brent Calloway type stunt, would you be ok with it? yes? no? maybe?
Are you insinuating the you are indeed the bagman?
"I've seen some coaches lose with good players. I haven't seen anybody win without them." Rhett Lashlee
If you are talking about playing in the grey area with no consequences or at the very most a slap on the wrist, then heck yeah I'd be ok with it. In fact, I expect it. If there are lines you are not willing to cross in recruiting, you are losing.
They will get as close to the gray area as possible, no program is lily white
No. Rather be Auburn than be like the cheaters.
Absolutely not! These days that type of thing is just too creepy... so its surely a Bama thing. We don't need that behavior at AU.
We, Auburn, are not polished at "recruiting ploys" if you will as bama. The NCAA appears that they don't look into bamas issues. However if we do something along the lines you mentioned above, I have no doubt that the bama media will write about it until the ncaa did come and check things out.

You should prepare yourself to live with the consequences of your decisions, whatever they may be.
Try this one. Let's say you are an assistant coach for a major D1 school. You land a few high profile recruits and you are likely to get a head coaching job making 7 figures. You don't land any high profile recruits and you are likely headed back to coaching high school football. You suspect several of your competitors (the ones that are on short lists for hc jobs) are providing extra benefits. How moral are you now when it comes to NCAA rules? Be honest.
What exactly was the "Brent Calloway" stunt?
Calloway went to Alabama because that's where he wanted to go. Going to the beach had nothing to do with it.
No !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We don't need any players involved in those activities.
ja - why would you say that? Seriously, I was under the impression that it was a kind of a "known" that he was whisked away just before signing day?
And I like this question... very interesting.
I'd like it even more if people could anonymously answer... I think you'd see much more of a split.
Seriously, don't take me too serious.
