What do you want us to do? Start "processing" players like the school across the state? Because that's the only way we could create attrition, of course we wouldn't like to take just 13 players and we will likely never have that small of a class. Having said that, if it's January next year and we don't lose a SINGLE player we aren't expected to, yes we could only take 15 because it is a RULE not an OPTION. That's not going to happen however, we will lose a few or several more players and be able to take closer to 20.
what op is thinking about is we only signed 20 so we get to sign up to 30 players in 2013, well if we have the spots open then by the rules of the sec we can sign those 30 but if theres no room then we cant do it . so op we have been approved by the sec to sign 25 +5 in 2013 if we have the room.we have to stay under the 85 limit. now those players dont count against the 85 until they start classes so I hope all 20 of them start classes. well 4 of them have already started
We would have taken all of them last year because we had the room to take them. At the time we only had 15-16 committed and could have taken all of them and been fine with the numbers (25/yr 85/all the time). You can't sign 25 players every single year with the way we are now recruiting kids who are definitely going to make it in.
WE COMING . WAR EAGLE !
We could only sign 21-22 this year anyway..
Does anyone see any Juniors next year leaving for NFL. I know its early but any thoughts? And what was article in paper couple weeks ago about AU having highest attrition rate or something along those lines? I didnt get a chance to follow up but remember it being all over radio and was suprised (I know Fab 4 were included)

Definitely Lemonier... maybe Whitaker and Davis... Did Ford receive a medical hardship? Either way if he's healthy he is gone.
Next year, we lose:
T'Sharvan Bell (if not already gone)
Draft-eligible Juniors w/potential draft value...

Unless one of these juniors explodes I cant see any of them leaving early. Lemonier currently weights between 235-245lbs which is not close to NFL size.
There's no way to tell what the exact number is going to be yet, we might not even get to sign that many so to say it definitively is not right. You are probably pretty close to what the number will be, but we would have to lose 7 kids to be able to take 22 which is a good deal of attrition for one year.
Technically we signed 21 including Prosch. The only way we would be able to bring in 29 next year is if we lost 14 kids due to attrition which is never going to happen and 4 of the incoming signees would have to be EE's as well, that's the only way we could count them back to this year.
We could not have signed all those players. 85 means 85. Count them any way you want to. We always recruit more than we can sign. If all those prospects had chosen Auburn, we would have had to turn some of them away.
It is my opinion that we will sign 23-26 players in this class. Yes, even Auburn will process some players. I understand taking the high road is what Auburn is all about, but when other schools, even within our own state are doing this maniacally, we will be forced to do it also to an extent so we can "keep up".
That is fine of course for you to have an opinion, but that means we would have to run off 8-11 players in year 4 of the Chiz era. That's just not going to happen, maybe in year 1 of a new coach but that's about the only time that's going to happen. We are not going to start "processing" players like the little one, it's very obvious that Chizik has MUCH more class and integrity than that. This is also very evident due to the 4 year scholarships we are offering, you can't process players when you are offering a full ride for 4 years. Read some of the articles already this year, kids saw what satan did to Justin Taylor and we are using it against them, just like every other school in the SEC will use it who is recruiting against spuat this year.
