Let there be no doubt, I am indeed a proud Pop!! War Eagle!!
If you cant be honest....whats the point of being anything?
I was blessed to be at Auburn while Bo was there and be able to watch him play on Saturdays. One day while headed to class, I parked by the baseball field (before it had its upgrade to what it looks like today) and as I was getting out of my car, Bo was walking by as he was coming down the hill from Sewell Hall. Since he was, and still is, my sports hero I struck up a conversation with him as we walked to class. I can still remember him saying "I'm just living for Saturday." It was a short visit as I headed to Parker Hall and he headed over to Haley Center but it was a meeting I will never forget. And I can still remember we played and beat Miss. St. that Saturday! He is still the best football player I have ever watched play the game.
It was when the rumors started about Bo was not going to play Football. I was walking towards coliseum When i saw a big guy in a baby blue baseball uniform walking towards the baseball field. It was Bo. I said you're going to play baseball and he said "Yep". That's my Bo moment.
I would like to think that was his decision to play for the Royals but it probably just that he was going to play Baseball at that moment.
It's Great to be an Auburn Tiger!!!
"Life is so much simpler when you tell the truth."
Strive for perfection in everything we do. Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, create it.
I had "Mate Selection" class with Bo in that building between Mary Martin hall and the Library. He was already married but that class was one of those "easy 5-hour A's" IF you put forward any effort at all.
The professor would get really upset if people snickered during class about the content and would tell them that if they could not act like adults, they would have to leave....
