Im going to finish the Malzahn stuff tonight, but I figured a thread for general schematic discussion would have some value. With that in mind, please post any questions or potential topics ITT. WDE

Do you think, even in 2010, with Cam, that we saw the whole Gus offense? Was Chizik holding him back in any aspects that year?
Hard for me tell, because we won it all.

I've got one, we have an all-American at FB, we have uzamah/fulse/parks at TE. How do you see us using these guys in addition to all the WR.
Gus likes to use more of an HBack type than a true TE type (though the distinction in this day of athletic TEs is minimal and blurry). That role can be filled by a true TE type like Fulse, an H-Back type like Parks, or a true FB like Prosch. Eric Smith and Lutz played essentially the same position at times, depending on what Gus wanted to to. There will be times when you'll see both the 9 and 4 filled by someone from that group. So you'd have the 5 OL, two split recievers, a tailback, a QB and then a TE and Prosch on the field. Jay also showed an ability to catch the ball, which is extremely important in this system. Eric was great at that.
