I think our team needs a very large back that can pick up the 2-3 yard 1st down plays. It doesn't have to be a super fast guy, just someone strong enough to push the pile even if they know its coming. There has to be someone on the team that we could convert to this type fullback. We are often trying to play power football with 190 pound backs. I give or backs credit for their hard effort but unless everyone makes their blocks its hard to run up the middle. What do you guys think? (Anyone miss when the whole defense knew Cam was running and he just pushed for 2-3 yards)

I'm surprised we haven't given the ball to Prosch yet considering he sure could move a pile in short yardage situations. But be careful what you wish for when coverting guys to ball carriers who haven't been in the past. If you think it's hard enough for guys like Tre and Mike (who have been ball carriers their whole lives) to hold onto the rock in the SEC, wait and see someone who isn't used to carrying it in game situations with everyone trying to rip it out. Turnovers are more costly than having to punt.
I think the staff has been trying to address the issue of not having any big backs with Jovon Robinson and now Jordan Wilkins. A change in scheme translates to a change in personnel needs. The problem is we're running the new scheme with old personnel.
I would rather have EXACTLY who we have!! They gave their commitment to AUBURN and so we need to back them 100% as AUBURN men and women! We just need to execute better and it starts up front... I promise the more our OL makes blocks the better our RB's will look

I think Chizik had all plans for Javon Robinson to be that type of back this year. That kind of blew up.
With my past and future precisely divided am I at that moment....I haven't decided.
